We specialize in conducting medical-legal autopsies, determining causes of death, injury assessments, age estimations, and toxicological analyses. Our experts also provide medical evaluations in cases involving assault, sexual offenses, and other medico-legal matters. Every case is handled with the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. The mortuary is well equipped with a cold room with capacity to store 30 dead bodies, two autopsy tables, exhibit room and store room for keeping all the instruments, tools and disposables required for the autopsy.

At present, apart from routine medico-legal works, department is engaged in multifarious activities of teaching, training and research. It has demo rooms which are audio visually well equipped for interactive teaching, and a museum with rich collection of medico legally relevant specimens.
