Department of Ophthalmology under the able guidance of successive heads and stalwarts has grown leaps and bounds. The department today is making great progress and is fully equipped to tackle any ophthalmic condition with precise clinical diagnosis aided with state-of-the-art equipment. The faculty comprise of ophthalmologist of repute trained in various central institutes like AIIIMS, PGIMER, GNEC to name a few. The department is providing comprehensive ophthalmology and sub-specialty services in Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Neuro-ophthalmology and low vision With clinical care and academics being the central theme the department is providing post graduate training in ophthalmology under GGSIPU with sole motto to create experts in the field of ophthalmology for tomorrow. Undergraduates are imparted competency based medical education and   Post graduate trainees are given ample opportunities to develop their skills and are engaged in various teaching and didactics including managing and operating major and minor ailments related to eye under able supervision of faculty.
